Bucceto’s story starts in another pizzeria in another city: Puccini’s Smiling Teeth in the Greenbriar district of Indianapolis. They started small and opened their first restaurant in 1991, but they quickly earned some major attention by winning the top score possible from an Indianapolis Star review. Their food critic didn’t just love the pizza variety, they also loved the fresh, flavorful salads and the tender pasta options. Thanks to this start, Puccini’s began opening new locations in other Indianapolis neighborhoods and cities like West Lafayette and Lexington, Kentucky.
Puccini’s would also play a big role in starting Bucceto’s Smiling Teeth in Bloomington. While the name is different, we both want our customers to leave with smiling teeth, and we share the recipes that helped Puccini’s succeed.
