What Is A Calzone?
A calzone is a lot like if you paired a pizza with a turnover. While a pizza uses flat dough adorned with sauce, cheese, and toppings, and you eat it in slices, a calzone is what happens if you fold all that up into a convenient little pocket instead.
To create our calzones, we take our delicious pizza dough, and we leave it flat, almost as if we’re making a small pie. We cover the dough in sauce, cheeses, and your choice of toppings, and then we turn it over, fold it up, and create a pocket. That pocket is then baked to perfection, leaving you with a highly portable and super delicious personal pizza that’s ready to be enjoyed at the table or on the go.
What Goes Into A Calzone?
At Bucceto’s, anything you love can go into a calzone! We have specialty calzone options just like our specialty pizzas, so you can begin exploring the world of calzones with some tried and tested favorites. As you start to learn what you like in a calzone, we have our create your own option that includes your choice of cheese, sauce, and up to 3 of our fresh Bucceto’s toppings.
On our specialty menu we have calzones that range from classic like our Meatball Heaven, to the unique and adventurous like our vegetarian friendly Queen of Hearts.
Can I Have My Calzone Delivered?
Our traditional pizza in Bloomington isn’t the only thing we deliver at Bucceto’s! Our calzones are included in our delivery menu as well, and they’re just as easy to order online as our pies.
